Blog stats on wordpress…?

I just created a wordpress account, and was wondering how the bog stats work. I know that when I login to my account, I can view the number of visitors (as well as what links they clicked on and how they were referred to my site). What I don’t know is how do I know where the visitors are viewing my site from; is there a way I can find out? Can I even know what the IP address is? Thanks a lot!

Your requirements can be fulfilled using google analytics plugin for wordpress. To download this plugin go to this link: http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/google-analytics-for-wordpress/

Google analytics will track everything on your site ( like visitor’r ip, country, which links are visitors are clicking most, from which site visitors are coming from etc. etc. )

How To Get Social Networking Links On WordPress?

Basically, I have a website called www.PunkGoesIndie.com (a site talking about the evolution of punk rock over the years) and I am trying to get the social networking links on it to allow others to make links on facebook back to my page. Anyone know how? Is it a plugin or a widget or what?
Thx.

The ShareThis gizmo generally will work with WP.

WordPress Wikipedia Plugin

need wiki software with user comments displayed on the same page.?

I’m considering wordpress with wiki plugin, but I’d prefer a single software solution as well. The user comments need to be locked, not editable like wikipedia. I want them to be permanent.

Ideally open source, database, self-hosted, the usual.

Thanks in advance for any help you guys can offer.
So I spent a while researching this answer, and there are three solutions I’ve found:

tikiwiki, bitweaver, and xoware. I’ll try out all three to find the best option.

www.wikimatrix.org was a great resource.

If you mean a script you can just cut and paste without trying to understand what you are doing, forget it: you ALWAYS have to do SOME WORK.
Otherwise, download the free scripts “Miniblog” and “chat script” from http://web2coders.com
