WordPress Keywords

What should my SEO title, description and keywords be?

I’m using the All in One SEO plug-in for WordPress and need to provide an SEO title, description and keywords for all my posts. Can anyone offer correct and good examples of what these should be? If you have links to tutorials that would be great too. If you can offer a sample from your own posting that would be even better.

Thanks!

Without knowing the theme of your blog, it’ll be hard to give meaningful examples. I would point you to a specific tutorial that explains the hows and whys behind title tags, etc. There is a new, free SEO tutorial site for small business owners at http://www.smbseoguide.com/. The pages that specifically comment on title, description and keywords for your blog are below. Hope it helps. Good luck!

where to write words for SEO(search engine optimisation) in wordpress ?

i dont know a thing about Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) through wordpress?
I have made a basic site myself using WordPress.
Now i want my site to be shown by search engines like Google etc
Pls help ….
my site WWW.AMPLIZONE.COM
How to do it??

First thing is that dont use any software that says increase site traffic.

Second is try to put original and good content in your site with pictures and give the pictures titles. If you know little bit of coding then put your keywords and metatags in code. If not just switch to code view of your site in wordpress and put there.

Third is contact webmasteres of sites related to your theme and convince them to put your links on their sites and you put their links on your site.

This will generate natural traffic to your site. and will help your site to be in ranking

WordPress Seo Permalinks

October 8th, 2010 admin No comments

How can i sort out the Permalinks in my WordPress template?

I have checked Worpress.tv, any other tutorials i can find & searched Google but can’t find an answer to this problem.
In a nutshell, i recently bought a WordPress template. It looks great & very functional too.
However, i really need to have my Pages & blog posts SEO optimised. One of the ways in do this is to change the ‘Custom’ Permalinks settings to ‘%category%/%postname%’ .
However, when i do this in the WordPress template, it messes up the image links.
The template designer has told me that the solution would be to replace all the links with absolute links.
I really haven’t a clue what he’s talking about.
Unfortunatley, the designer is not english-speaking & so we’re having difficulties understanding each other. Please can someone help. Thanks.

basically what he is trying to say is

currently your images are bing called as

like directory wise

instead , he is asking you to do it < img src="www.yourrsite.com/images" > get it ?

WordPress Url Parameters

How to do a 301 htaccess rewrite rule?

How to do a 301 htaccess rewrite?
I have several diferent parameters appended to my URL – I need all of these to 301 redirect to one page. Some example URLS are:

http://mydomain.com/free-guide/?utm_source=whatever&utm_medium=something&utm_campaign=myemail@yahoo.com

(you may need to mouseover these links to see the full link- yahoo answers is cutting them short)

OR

http://mydomain.com/free-guide/?utm_source=THIS&utm_medium=THAT&utm_campaign=OTHERTHING24@yahoo.com

I need to rewrite ALL urls that contain ?utm_source=somthin…
to

http://mydomain.com/free-guide/

please help- Asked this a few days ago- but the answer was wrong- My htaccess file looks like this -

# BEGIN WordPress

RewriteEngine On
RewriteBase /
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-f
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-d
RewriteRule . /index.php [L]

# END WordPress

PLEASE ANSWER within the htaccess text displayed above

You’re pretty ungrateful, considering your previous question didn’t mention your needs.

To redirect all querystrings that contain the querystring variable utm_source to the free-guide subdirectory:

# BEGIN WordPress

RewriteEngine On
RewriteBase /
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-f
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-d
RewriteRule index.php [R=301]
RewriteCond ?utm_source [NC]
RewriteRule free-guide/ [R=301]

Good luck with your keyword spamming.
