what is a good wordpress template/theme for selling photography and art prints?

preferably free and with as little plugin integration required as possible.. :)

I have not heard of this for word press, but I have for Joomla, Mambo and OS commerce.
More to the point Gallery offers a image display and shop option which is what you would need and its simple to use.

You can find Joomola here: http://www.joomla.org/
You then add a gallery http://extensions.joomla.org/search?q=gallery
then add a cart: http://extensions.joomla.org/extensions/e-commerce

then tag the pages with the info and cart button.
If you use virtual-mart you will and can use this plug-in

Mambo is much the same.

You get the add-ons from here: http://www.siteground.com/mambo_addons.htm

We developed a shop using PHP and buttons which had each individual option for selling products, the person clicks on the button and then has a simple cart where they select media and pay.. simple really.

you can also use OS commerce.
You can get that here: http://www.oscommerce.com/
Download your fav payment mod from here: http://addons.oscommerce.com/category/Payment_Modules
Download image display from here: http://addons.oscommerce.com/category/Images

The correctly designed image selling and display website is Gallery2, you can download this here:

http://gallery.menalto.com/

Gallery 3 is nicer IMO, and you do get a choice of where to print sell images and the prices. this means that you need to set up accounts with the correct printer, such as photobox and set the pricing that you want, there are a few others. needless to say you just google the stuff you want and install it as there are always guides.

WordPress Gallery Plugin With Comments

Some problems with WordPress Gallery 2?

I’m using the WPG2 plugin to embed Gallery 2 in WordPress. I’m having 2 problems.

First, when I view my Gallery pages in their stand-alone form, I have a comment field for every individual image, and for each gallery. But when I view them embedded in WPG2, there are no comment fields.

How do I enable comment fields in WPG2?

Second, I have it set up to display several random images in my sidebar. But when I click on those images, sometimes I get an error message, a 404 for the image. (It isn’t doing it right now, so I can’t show you, also I haven’t gotten everything sorted out for public consumption yet) Any idea what could be causing this?
Also, the sidebar disappears when I open the embedded gallery. Is there any way to keep it?

>> How do I enable comment fields in WPG2?

You probably need a template hack.

>> when I click on those images, sometimes I get an error message, a 404 for the image

This is probably related to your permalinks (pretty URLs) settings.
