I’m looking for an autoresponder service that’s inexpensive, but will allow me to send out several prewritten emails on a scheduled basis as is commonly done for email marketing. For example, sometimes you can sign up for a 5-day email course to teach you how to do something. That’s what I’m interested in. Also, could it be set for weekly instead of daily delivery? Could I have multiple courses available? That’s what I really want.
Aweber and GetResponse are the best 2 autoresponders out there. With each you can have unlimited courses and you can choose the exact time when you want the emails to be delivered.

I am an affiliate marketer as well and most of my business comes through email marketing. The auto responder I use is aweber. With aweber you are able to track the number of opens and clicks on your affiliate links for each email that you send. You can setup a series of followup messages to send to your list every few days to keep in touch with and market to on complete autopilot. Aweber also allows you to use html to enter your own pictures, banners, and anything else you may want to add.
Most internet marketers use email marketing because it allows you to sell to your customers over and over instead of just losing them after the first sale. The money is really in the list and if you know how to market to them there is truly a lot of money to be made.
Aweber may not be free but it makes life a lot easier. For only $19 a month all you would have to do is make one sale on average, to cover 2 months worth of your subscription.

What is the most flexible Email Marketing Service?
I’m looking for a very flexible Email Marketing Software/Service. Preferably a hosted solution, like GetResponse, or Aweber.
I have tried a lot of them, but none of them seem to fit my needs.
Here’s what i need:
1. Autoresponders (aka Follow-up Emails or Trigger Mails)
2. Ability to send an email immediately after subscription AND after profile update.
3. Ability to use custom fields in message body and subject (for personalization)
4. Ability to filter and segment my list based on custom fields. For example, I want to send a specific autoresponder e-mail to only subscribers who live in Texas. Or only to women over 35.
(Note: it’s ok if these requirements can only be achieved using API)
So far the closest to these needs have been:
1. Mailchimp – but it fails at requirement #2 + it doesn’t allow affiliate marketing
2. EmailBrain (or GraphicMail) – fails at #4
3. StreamSend – fails at #2
