How to add category and post in wordpress

Using WordPress 2.3, how can I make a page that lists all posts organized according to tag?

I want to use this an an recipe index page for a recipe blog. I want people to be able to browse by entrees, side dished, desserts, etc rather than just clicking through the blog. Tags seem to make more sense for this in case of items that can fit into more than one catagory. For example, if I posted a recipe that could be used as either a side dish OR an appatizer, I could just tag it as both and it would be listed under both sections on the index page. It’d be great if I could actually customize the page a bit, but just the listing would be great. Help is greatly appreciated!

It would be simple just to make categories for the recipes; name your recipes and assign them to categories. Using the codex or a plugin, you can generate category lists.

I need to find a “find us facebook” “find us on Twitter” widget to put on my self hosted WordPress blog. Does anyone know where I get one from and how I install it.
